Ski-in Ski-out Lodging at Deer Valley Resort
Deer Valley Resort, consistently ranked #1 in customer service and experience by Ski Magazine, is known for its high-end lavishness and relaxing atmosphere. The ski-in ski-out lodging options at Deer Valley align closely with these principles, creating repeat customers year after year with their luxurious amenities and services. However, not all Deer Valley slope side areas are created equally. The following descriptions should leave you well informed as to what vicinity of Deer Valley will best serve the needs of you and your family.
Upon arrival at Deer Valley Ski Resort, the first area you’ll encounter is Snow Park, which serves as the lower base area of the mountain. Deer Valley is synonymous with service, and the accommodations in Snow Park deliver. Off to the left, the Black Diamond Lodge features stone fireplaces and private hot tubs with every unit. Across the base area, the Pine Inn and Trails End provide ski-in ski-out access to the Success run, in addition to private shuttle service for all guests. The advantage of staying in Snow Park is the easy access to the restaurants and shops of downtown Park City. Most locations in town can be reached in less than five minutes via a car or shuttle.
A few miles up Royal Street, Silver Lake Village is one of the most desirable locations when staying in Deer Valley. The Silver Lake base area, surrounded by the European inspired village, is the mid-mountain base area for Deer Valley Resort. With a handful of shops and restaurants, staying in Silver Lake means enjoying the ski-in ski-out experience without having to head to town for all your needs. The mid-mountain location also affords great panoramas of the surrounding Park City landscape. If you prefer to stay close to the Silver Lake lodge, consider Mont Cervin, Royal Plaza, Sterling Lodge, or Stein Eriksen Lodge. Just across the street from Stein Eriksen Lodge is the Black Bear Lodge which is only a short walk (250 yards) to the slopes. Places like Double Eagle and an assortment of private homes can be found situated further up the slopes, offering pristine skiing conditions right out your front (or back) door.
In recent years, Deer Valley has expanded its array of properties to include new offerings in the North Side/Silver Strike area near Empire Pass. To access these more secluded locations, continue driving a short distance past Silver Lake Village towards the Empire Canyon day lodge. As you gain elevation, the breath-taking views will give way to the newest lodging additions, including Shooting Star, Silver Strike, Arrowleaf, and the Grand Lodge. Built in 2007-2008, these properties guarantee an intimate, magnificent vacation experience. And because there are only a handful of properties built around the Northside and Silver Strike lifts, you can count on no crowds and serene privacy during your stay.
The Deer Crest neighborhood completes the Deer Valley ski-in ski-out lodging picture. Located on the backside of the resort (overlooking the picturesque Jordanelle Reservoir), Deer Crest homes are accessible via the Mayflower exit on 40 and through a gated entrance near lower Deer Valley. With sumptuous furnishings and spacious quarters, Deer Crest offers the best of the high-end accommodations in Deer Valley. Guests have access to private concierge service and complimentary transportation; additionally, all Deer Crest homes have ski access to the Jordanelle Gondola. If you’re pulling out all the stops for a top-notch, unforgettable vacation experience, Deer Crest is the place to stay.
Deer Valley offers a variety of lodging opportunities that provide you with luxurious surroundings and peace of mind so you can focus on the more important aspects of your vacation, like creating lasting memories with your family. Regardless of the area you select for your stay, you’ll be happy you chose slope side accommodations at Deer Valley.
