With terrain for skiers of all levels, a maximum of only 6,500 tickets sold per day, and an award winning ski school, skiing at Deer Valley Resort is truly a vacation.

Awards & Accolades

Deer Valley was once again voted the #1 ski resort in North America by the readers of SKI Magazine; for the third year in a row. In addition to winning the overall category, the resort earned #1 rankings for its perfectly groomed trails, high level of service, and on-mountain dining.

Resort Improvements

The resort recently invested $6 Million for improvements for the 2009-2010 ski season. In addition to an expansion of the rental shop and Children’s Center, improvements include additional glade skiing area and upgraded snowmaking capacity. There are now 930 acres devoted to glade skiing and just a little over 560 acres are covered by resort snowmaking.

Something for Everyone

Ideal for beginner and intermediate skiers, Deer Valley’s Bald Eagle Mountain offers over 20 beginner and intermediate runs. First time skiers should take advantage of the protected beginner’s area known as the Wilde West. More advanced skiers should flock to Bald Mountain where steeper un-groomed trails are combined with truly spectacular views. For the experts, Empire Canyon, with an elevation of 9,570 feet and eight chutes and three bowls, is home to some of the most advanced skiing that Deer Valley Resort has to offer.

Deer Valley is especially well suited to family skiing. A wide variety of ski trails, specifically in the Flagstaff Mountain area, are particularly well suited to family skiing. In addition, Empire Canyon boasts a new triple chairlift and two new runs in its family ski area. For beginners of all ages, the award winning Deer Valley Ski School offers a wide variety of programs as well as childcare facilities.
